Little Bits

We have been thinking about technology and the role it plays in our lives. Primary 4 had a go at creating some electrical circuits of their own, using 'Little Bits'. Working collaboratively, we had to use our problem solving skills to create a working electrical circuit. We were able to turn on lights and control them using a dimmer switch, make a buzzer ring and control the volume and even switch a fan on. Take a look at the photos which show a lot of great learning taking place!

Children's Rights

In class, P4 have been discussing children's rights. We worked together to make a map of the world. We discussed that no matter what country a child grows up in, they have rights! We talked about the different rights that they have and thought about which ones are most important to us. We have been reading the story Malala's Magic Pencil which tells the story of the inspirational young girl Malala Yousafzai who spoke out when others tried to deny her right to an education.

Gardening

On our last day before the school closure, we went outside for a little bit of gardening. Spring time is a great time to tidy up outside. The raised bed in the playground was looking a little overgrown! Working together, we managed to clear the raised bed of all the weeds that had grown. Then we planted a variety of wildflower seeds. Maybe we will see them in full bloom later in the year! Good job Primary 4!
